It creaked, it squeaked and it wobbled but eventually it fitted! The bodyshell was drapped over the chassis last weekend. This was the first time that the bodyshell was fitted and it went without any mishaps, and only a few small adjustments. I can now measure all sorts of things and mark out where I need to trim the body further for amongst other things the dashboard clocks, roll frame, injection manifold. I can also measure up for all the additional body supports and work out how much room I have for the radiator and shroud. The shell won’t stay on for long, next weekend or during thsi week it’ll be removed again and I can get down to the task of fitting the fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel metering unit, side panels, wiring loom, dashboard, seatbelt etc etc etc…. Still a lot to do!
